Five Ways for College Republicans to De-Stress During Finals

It’s finals season at GW, which means you’re probably focused on studying for exams and landing that summer internship, and you’re probably not getting much sleep. It’s important to de-stress this time of year! You’re right on the cusp of summer! We’ve come up with five ways College Republicans are de-stressing this finals season.

1. Take a walk to the monuments

Let’s face it, founding and running the country is harder than your finals…let George and Abe motivate you to finish strong!

2. Watch the West Wing

You may have had a bad exam, but at least you didn’t tell the press that the President has a “secret plan to fight inflation.”

3. If you’re writing a paper at 3 am, remember that it’s almost certainly less ridiculous than this tweet

Second Amendment views notwithstanding, we think Rep. Swalwell makes the Democratic field glow!

4. Play your favorite music, or even play the guitar!

We hear it’s what all the cool people are doing…and if you’re into the sheep costume, well, you do you.

5. Grab coffee with a friend on the other side

It’s a hectic time of year, and the next 18 months are going to be hectic for our country. Remember who your friends are and remember that we’re all stressing about the same things regardless of our views. As Thomas Jefferson once said, “I never considered a difference of opinion in politics, in religion, in philosophy, as cause for withdrawing from a friend.”

We hope you all have a great end of the semester, and look forward to having you back to build up our party on campus this fall!
