2025 has come to a close, and thanks to the tireless efforts of the Trump administration and the Republican trifecta in their first years, it was a wonderful year for the United States of America. Our nation became stronger at home, brought peace abroad, and envisioned a better present and a brighter future for all Americans. As our nation begins its 250th year of independence, America’s destiny is as radiant as ever. It was not a perfect year, but if our country continues on the path it began in 2025, it will be remembered as one of the most impactful years in American history, the true beginning of a new Golden Age.
On Jan. 20th, Donald J. Trump became the 47th President and JD Vance the 50th Vice President, marking what Trump called “Liberation Day.” Since then, the administration has worked to reverse Biden-era policies and steer the nation toward greater safety and prosperity.
The administration’s first major action was closing the Southern border, which, under Biden, had been 2,000 miles of pure chaos. Their actions have yielded immediate results, with just over 117,105 enforcement encounters from January to November 2025, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Previously, under the Biden administration, CBP was averaging 185,625 encounters a month. Through September, the quantity of deadly fentanyl entering the border and needing to be seized by CBP was 55% less than it had been the year before, per USAFacts. Trump’s strong border policies have created a much safer nation for all Americans, and should be celebrated as the greatest accomplishment of 2025, but it was far from the only one.
The economy consistently outperformed expectations and continued to grow, while the stock market kept surging, delivering more money for Americans. In July, the Republican Congress passed the Big Beautiful Bill, which will save Americans thousands of dollars in tax cuts, especially for those living in Democratic states with oppressive tax codes. The United States also saw the largest one-year decrease in homicides in recorded history, and the fewest homicides total since the FBI began recording such statistics in 1960, according to ABC News.
In the foreign policy sphere, President Trump brokered a meaningful ceasefire in Gaza, and the now Department of War effectively and painlessly delivered a strike to stop Iran’s nuclear ambitions. The United States began flexing its muscle again in 2025, showing that the only way to respond to thuggish dictators is not weak appeals to diplomacy and international law, as we saw with Biden’s futile attempts to stop Putin from invading Ukraine, but by showing the incredible force and ability of the United States military. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth restored America's respect on the world stage in 2025.
In all, the America of 2025 was a safer, more prosperous, more powerful nation than the America of 2024. With the continued effective leadership of President Trump and the entire Republican Party, America’s 250th year in 2026 is set to be its greatest year ever.
